Dorito-Coated Chicken Burger with Mac and Cheese

Ingredients

  • 2 plant-based chicken fillets
  • Flour
  • 1 egg
  • Crushed Chilli Heatwave Doritos
  • Burger bun
  • Macaroni
  • 6 cheese triangles
  • Onion salt
  • Garlic puree
  • Pizza cheese
  • Manticore sriracha sauce

Preparation

  1. Smoosh the plant chicken fillets into one big piece.

  2. Coat in flour, then beaten egg, then crushed Chilli Heatwave Doritos.

  3. Spray with oil and air fry at 190°C for about 9 minutes, turning as needed.

  4. Pan toast the burger bun.

  5. Cook macaroni in seasoned water until done.

  6. Mix cooked macaroni with 6 cheese triangles, onion salt, garlic puree, and add pizza cheese at the last minute.

  7. Assemble the burger by placing the coated fillet on the bun and topping with the mac and cheese mixture.

  8. Drizzle with Manticore sriracha sauce.

Notes

  1. This burger is messy to eat but highly enjoyable.
