Chocolaty and This Cacao Granola

Ingredients

  • 3 cups whole oats
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1/4 cup cacao nibs
  • 1/2 cup cashews, hazelnuts or other gluten free nuts
  • 2 tbspn coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon gf cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • a pinch of salt
  • roughly chop nuts.

Preparation

  1. Roughly chop nuts

  2. Put cacao nibs in a small blender to finely chop

  3. Heat together coconut oil, honey, cocoa powder, cacao nibs and cinnamon

  4. Spread granola and nuts over a baking sheet and pour the hot syrup over and combine well

  5. Heat oven to 325°F and bake for about 15- 20 mins or until adequately toasted
