Beer Crust Pizza
Ingredients
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper + any other preferred seasonings
- 12 oz. light beer
Preparation
Preheat oven to 450 degrees
Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl and mix
Lowly pour the beer in while mixing with a wooden spoon
Mix it really well. The dough will be sticky, but this is okay
Sprinkle flour on a clean surface and dump the dough onto surface
Add a bit more flour to prevent the dough from sticking to the surface
Knead dough for 4-5 minutes until nice and really pliable
Shape it into a ball and keep as one to make a larger pizza, or divide into two to make 2 thinner pizzas
Grease your pizza pan or use a pizza stone, Roll the dough out into a circle (or oval like i did) and brush the entire crust with a bit of olive oil
Add your toppings and bake for 12-6 minutes until golden brown all around and cheese is bubbling
