Best Vegan Pizza with BBQ Tofu and Vegetables
Ingredients
- 300g self-rising bread flour with yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water
- Turmeric (to taste)
- Vegan Worcester sauce (to taste)
- Vegan BBQ sauce (to taste)
- Salt (to taste)
- Paprika powder (to taste)
- 1/4 yellow onion
- 1/4 red onion
- 100-150g thinly sliced mushrooms
- 1 can Italian tomato sauce with herbs
- Vegan cheese (to taste)
Preparation
Make the pizza dough by adding warm water to the self-rising flour and mixing until dough-like consistency, then cover and let rise for an hour.
Prepare the tofu by slicing it thinly, seasoning with turmeric, vegan Worcester sauce, vegan BBQ sauce, salt, and paprika to taste, then stir-fry in a pan with a little oil.
Optionally, add garlic and onions to the tomato sauce and stir-fry it.
After the dough has risen, shape it into a square or circle.
Spread the tomato sauce and prepared tofu on the dough.
Add vegan cheese until mostly covered.
Top with sliced onions and mushrooms.
Bake in the oven at 180°C for about 20 minutes or until done.
