Vegan Detroit Style Pizza Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 tsp instant yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbl nutritional yeast
- 1 cup warm water (baby bath temp)
Preparation
Preheat oven to 500 F. While oven is heating spread 2 Tbl olive oil in a 9x13
Put your choice of toppings on the dough. Spread a layer of mozzarella cheese on top (about 2 cups) getting it all the way to the edges. Spread about a cup of pizza sauce on top of the cheese. But don't worry about evenly covering the top. ?
Place the prepared pizza in the baking dish on the lowest rack and bake (uncovered) for 20-25 min. You should see plenty of bubbling action by that point. Remove from oven and let rest in the dish for 10 min. Run a knife along the edge to separate the cheese from the dish. Use a spatula to pry an end up and carefully transfer the pizza to a cutting board by letting it slide out of the dish
