Homemade Apple Crumble with Cinnamon Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 5 large apples
  • 50 g brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 180 g plain flour
  • 100 g sugar
  • 100 g butter or vegan butter

Preparation

  1. Core and slice the apples.

  2. Lay the apple slices in an ovenproof dish.

  3. Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon over the apples, and mix well to coat the slices.

  4. To make the crumble, place the flour, sugar, and butter in a bowl. Use your fingers to rub the butter into the mixture until it resembles wet sand.

  5. Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the sliced apples.

  6. Bake in the oven at 170°C (fan) for about 30 minutes, until the apples are soft and the crumble is starting to brown.

  7. Serve warm with a dollop of ice cream, cream, or enjoy it as it is.
