Lentil Pot

Ingredients

  • 2 diced onions
  • 1 cup yellow lentils
  • 1/2 cup Basmati or brown rice (1/2 hour soaked and drained)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 tsp olive oil

Preparation

  1. Heat oil in a saucepan, put the onions and Cook them till they become gold-brown color

  2. Add the lentils, rice and spices

  3. Add 3 to 4 cups of hot water and cook with occasional stirring until the rice is cooked
