Homemade Ginger Ale with Maple Syrup
Ingredients
- 1 cup sliced ginger
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 5-6 tablespoons maple syrup
- Juice from 1 1/2 lemons
- Sparkling water
Preparation
Slice the ginger and add it to a medium-sized pot with 2 1/2 cups of water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes.
Juice the lemons and add the maple syrup. Stir to combine.
Strain the ginger mixture and pour the liquid into a jar with the lemon juice and maple syrup. Let it cool.
To serve, fill a glass with ice, add a quarter of the mixture, and top with sparkling water.
