Chocolate Bundt Cake with Cheesecake Filling

Ingredients

Chocolate batter

  • 200 g finely chopped dark chocolate
  • 150 g soft butter
  • 220 g sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 325 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 55 g cocoa powder
  • 4 tablespoons milk
  • 100 g heavy cream

Cheesecake filling

  • 500 g quark (20% fat)
  • 1 packet vanilla pudding powder
  • 130 g sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Glaze

  • 200 g dark chocolate glaze

Preparation

  1. Melt the chopped dark chocolate over a water bath and add the butter

  2. Transfer to a mixing bowl and beat with sugar until foamy

  3. Add the eggs one by one

  4. Mix and sift the flour with baking powder and cocoa powder, then gradually stir into the batter

  5. Add the milk

  6. Pour two-thirds of the chocolate batter into a bundt pan (about 24 cm diameter) and spread up the sides

  7. For the cheesecake filling, beat sugar with vanilla pudding powder, vanilla extract, and 2 eggs until smooth

  8. Mix in the quark

  9. Pour the filling into the center of the chocolate batter

  10. Preheat the oven to 170°C (convection: 150°C)

  11. Stir the heavy cream into the remaining chocolate batter

  12. Pour the remaining batter over the cheesecake filling

  13. Bake the cake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes

  14. Let the cake cool completely

  15. Invert the cake onto a serving plate

  16. Melt the dark chocolate glaze according to package instructions

  17. Generously pour the melted glaze over the cake
