Vibrant Veggie Pizza with Homemade Crust
Ingredients
- 7g dry yeast
- 2 cups lukewarm water
- 1 teaspoon agave nectar
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1.5 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- marinara sauce
- favorite pizza toppings
Preparation
Activate 7g dry yeast in 2 cups lukewarm water with 1 teaspoon agave nectar and 3 tablespoons olive oil for 7-10 minutes.
Add 2.5 cups all-purpose flour, 1.5 cups whole wheat flour, and 1 teaspoon salt.
Mix until dough comes together, then gently knead on a flour-dusted surface for 3-5 minutes until soft, elastic, and slightly sticky.
Form a dough ball and place it in a slightly greased bowl.
Let it rest for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
Cut dough into 2 or 4 pieces.
Spread each piece on a flour-dusted surface using hands (not rolled), with middle about 0.5cm thick and edges up to 2cm.
Add marinara sauce and favorite toppings.
Bake at 270°C/520°F for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and slightly crispy.
