Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta
Ingredients
- 2 cups uncooked pasta
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cups unsweetened, non-dairy milk (we prefer rice milk)
- 3 1/2 tbs. all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup nutritional yeast
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. salt (add more to taste)
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 4 Gardein Crispy Tenders or your favorite chick'n
Preparation
Cook the pasta according to package instructions
Sauté the chick’n for approximately 5 minutes on each side and slice
While chick’n and pasta are cooking, sauté the garlic in a non-stick pan for approximately 3 minutes
Add the milk, flour and nutritional yeast to the garlic and whisk until fully incorporated
Let cook for approximately 5-7 minutes, stirring until desired thickness is reached
Add all spices and lemon juice (limit or omit the cayenne pepper if you do not like spice)
Stir in cooked pasta and sliced chick’n
Top with additional nutritional yeast and enjoy
