Vegan Orange Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients

Dough

  • 150g soy milk
  • 55g margarine
  • 55g sugar
  • 9g dry yeast
  • 80g soy yogurt
  • 400g all-purpose flour

Filling

  • 50g almond or hazelnut butter
  • 50g soft margarine
  • 70g brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • zest of 2 oranges

Preparation

  1. Warm the soy milk and margarine in a saucepan until tepid.

  2. Mix it with the sugar, dry yeast, and soy yogurt.

  3. In a bowl, place the flour and pour the warm mixture over it.

  4. Form a ball and knead for 10 minutes.

  5. Place in an airtight container and let rise for 1 hour at room temperature until doubled in volume.

  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle approximately 40x30 cm.

  7. In a bowl, mix the almond or hazelnut butter with the soft margarine and brown sugar, then spread it on the rectangle.

  8. Sprinkle with sugar, orange zest, and cinnamon.

  9. Roll up and cut into rolls. Place in a dish or individual rings, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.

  10. Before baking, pour 50mL of water into the oven to create steam and bake for 20-25 minutes at 200°C.
