Simple Tom Yum Soup

Ingredients

  • 200 grams chicken
  • Meatballs
  • Carrot
  • Green onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 shallots
  • 10 red chilies
  • 1 lemongrass stalk
  • 5 cm smashed ginger
  • 5 cm galangal
  • 3 kaffir lime leaves
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • Sugar, to taste
  • Salt, to taste
  • Seasoning, to taste
  • 1/3 onion
  • Tomato
  • Whole bird's eye chilies

Preparation

  1. Boil 1.3 liters of water and add chicken pieces after it boils.

  2. Blend garlic, shallots, and red chilies, then add to the broth along with lemongrass, smashed ginger, and kaffir lime leaves.

  3. Add sugar, salt, and seasoning.

  4. Once the chicken is tender, add bird's eye chilies, tomato, onion, meatballs, and carrot and adjust the taste.

  5. Before removing from heat, add green onion.
