Indonesian Oyong Vegetable Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 sponge gourds
  • 1 carrot
  • Glass noodles
  • 15 fish balls
  • 1 green onion
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 5 fried shallots
  • 1 packet soup seasoning
  • Powdered stock
  • Salt

Ground spices

  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 4 shallots
  • 1 teaspoon pepper

Preparation

  1. Fry the ground spices with a little cooking oil.

  2. Add fish balls, carrot, and water.

  3. When the water boils, add soup seasoning, sponge gourd, salt, and powdered stock.

  4. When the vegetables start to cook, add glass noodles, stir, and add green onion and celery.

  5. Turn off the stove, remove from heat, serve, and sprinkle with fried shallots for enhanced flavor.
