Homemade Vegan Cheesy Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cashews (soaked for at least 2 hours in water)
  • 3 tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • 1 tablespoon tamari
  • 1.5 teaspoons rosemary (I used the dried version)
  • 1.5 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2/3 cup of water
  • salt and pepper to taste

Optional additions

  • 1/2-1 tablespoon of olive oil

Preparation

  1. Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
