Crispy Baked Teriyaki Tofu

Ingredients

  • 1 package extra firm tofu
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tbsp coconut aminos (can substitute soy sauce)
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • 1 tbsp tapioca flour (can substitute cornstarch)
  • Sprinkle of salt and pepper
  • Broccoli (amount as desired)
  • Olive oil for greasing and tossing

Preparation

  1. Press the tofu for 20 minutes using a cloth and heavy plates.

  2. Cut the tofu into cubes and marinate in a mixture of the other ingredients.

  3. Let the tofu soak in the marinade for about 30 minutes.

  4. Bake on a greased baking sheet at 400°F for 15 minutes, then flip and bake for another 15 minutes.

  5. Toss broccoli with salt, pepper, and olive oil, and bake on the same pan along with the tofu.
