Homemade Strawberry Jam with Lemon Zest

Ingredients

  • 1kg strawberries
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 500g plantbased fruit jam sugar

Preparation

  1. Wash the strawberries and chop into pieces

  2. Wash the lemon in hot water

  3. Rasp the skin in tiny pieces and press out the juice

  4. Add everything to a pot and let it sit for an hour

  5. Bring to a boil, take away the foam from the top

  6. Cook for about twenty minutes

  7. Do a jam test: Add a spoon full of jam to a plate and wait for about two minutes, if it thickens up your jam should be ready, if it doesn’t, keep cooking

  8. Place to very clean jam glasses and close them

  9. In cool and dark places the jam will last for two years
