Classic Snickerdoodle Cookies with Cinnamon
Ingredients
- 3 cups of flour
- 2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 & 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter room temp
- 1 egg room temp
- 2 tsp vanilla
Topping
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
Preparation
Preheat oven to 375.
Combine sugar and cinnamon to make topping.
Whisk together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in a medium bowl.
In a separate bowl, beat butter and sugar together for two minutes or until creamy.
Beat in egg and vanilla.
Add dry mixture in three increments.
Roll dough into 1.5-inch balls and roll in bowl of topping.
Place on lined baking sheet and press cookies down with a fork.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Sprinkle more topping or press down with fork if desired.
