Best Ever Fudgey Vegan Healthy Brownies
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup flour (plain, spelt, or oat)
- heaping 1/2 cup sweetener (erythritol, xylitol, or sugar of choice)
- 1/3 cup cocoa or cacao powder
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- dash of cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup applesauce
- 1 tsp vanilla
- heaping 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (or more)
- 1/3 cup walnuts, chopped (or other nuts)
Preparation
Preheat your oven to fan 160°C.
Mix the dry ingredients, then whisk in the wet ingredients.
Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
Pour into a silicone loaf tin and bake for 30-40 minutes. They may not look cooked but will set as they cool. Alternatively, use a brownie tin and bake for 25-30 minutes.
Serve warm with ice cream if desired.
