Easy Vegan Cherry Cobbler Dessert
Ingredients
- 20 oz frozen Cherries
- 1 cup Flour
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 2 tsp Sugar (to sweeten the Cherries)
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 cup Plant Milk
- 4 Tbsp Vegan Butter
- 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla
Preparation
Set the oven to 350 degrees and add the Vegan Butter to the baking dish to melt. Remove from the oven.
Partially thaw the Cherries if using frozen. Drain any liquid and taste for sweetness. If not sweet enough, add the additional 2 tsp of Sugar to the Cherries and mix. Set aside.
Mix together the Flour, Sugar, Baking Powder, and Salt. Add in the Milk and Vanilla and mix until well combined. The batter should be pourable.
Pour the Batter into the baking dish with the melted Butter but do not mix.
Lay the Cherries on top of the Batter. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until golden brown.
Tips
For a crunchy crust, sprinkle a Tbsp of Sugar over the top before baking.
Serve with a scoop or two of Vanilla Ice Cream for extra yumminess.
