Easy Vegan Buttermilk Biscuits
Ingredients
- 2 to 2.5 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup plant milk
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 8 tablespoons vegan butter
- 1/2 tablespoon salt
Preparation
Mix apple cider vinegar and milk, then set aside.
Combine baking powder, salt, and flour.
Mix the flour mixture into the butter until you have a crumbly, well-incorporated mixture.
Add the plant milk to the flour mixture and mix until you have a rough dough.
Place the dough onto a well-floured surface and form into a ball.
Roll out the dough and fold it at least four times, with each fold consisting of rolling out and folding twice.
Roll the dough to about 3/4 inch thick and use a 2 to 2.5 inch circular cutter to cut out the biscuits.
Place the biscuits close together on a lined baking sheet and bake at 425°F until golden brown.
Tips
Enjoy with vegan butter, gravy, or use to make a breakfast sandwich.
