Vegan Cheddar Bay Biscuits
Ingredients
- 2 Cups of Flour
- 1 Tbsp of Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp of Salt
- 1 tsp of Onion Powder
- 2 tsp of Garlic Powder
- 1 1/2 tsp of Old Bay Seasoning
- 2 tsp of Sugar
- 2 Tbsp chopped Parsley
- 1 cup Plant Milk
- 1 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1/3 cup plus 2 Tbsp melted Butter
- 2 cups Vegan Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- Pepper to taste
Topping
- 2 Tbsp melted Vegan Butter
- 1 Tbsp chopped Parsley
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
Preparation
Add the apple cider vinegar to the plant milk and set aside.
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, spices, and sugar.
Pour the melted butter into the milk before adding it to the flour mixture.
Gently stir to combine and, before fully combined, add in the cheddar cheese. Mix until all dry ingredients are incorporated.
Scoop out the biscuits onto a large baking sheet using a large spoon or ice cream scoop. Gently press each biscuit down to make them slightly less round.
Bake at 450 degrees for 10 to 13 minutes.
Prepare the topping by mixing the melted vegan butter, chopped parsley, and garlic powder.
As soon as they come out of the oven, brush with the melted butter, parsley, and garlic mixture and serve.
