Hearty Vegan Spaghetti Nolognese and Garlic Bread

- garlic
- 2 vegan burgers
- Italian herbs (plus extra oregano)
- tomato passata
- water
- sea salt
- black pepper
- a little cornstarch slurry
Garlic bread
- sliced long-fermentation bread loaf
- vegan butter
- fresh garlic
- a little olive oil
- fresh parsley
- sea salt
Preparation
Sauce
Sauté onions and garlic in a pan.
Add the vegan burgers and fry, breaking them up, until browned.
Stir in Italian herbs (plus extra oregano), tomato passata, water, sea salt, and pepper; bring to a simmer.
Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens.
Garlic bread
Spread vegan butter on the bread slices.
Sauté fresh garlic in olive oil until fragrant.
Sprinkle the sautéed garlic (with the oil), parsley, and sea salt over the buttered bread.
Bake or broil until golden and crispy.
