Hearty Spaghetti Nolognese with Garlic Bread

Ingredients

Sauce

  • onions
  • garlic
  • vegan burgers
  • Italian herbs
  • oregano
  • tomato passata
  • water
  • sea salt
  • pepper
  • cornstarch slurry

Garlic bread

  • long fermentation loaf
  • vegan butter
  • fresh garlic
  • olive oil
  • parsley
  • sea salt

Preparation

Sauce

  1. Sauté onions and garlic

  2. Fry vegan burgers with the onions and garlic

  3. Add Italian herbs, extra oregano, tomato passata, water, sea salt, and pepper

  4. Thicken with a cornstarch slurry

Garlic bread

  1. Sauté fresh garlic in a little olive oil

  2. Spread on slices of long fermentation loaf with vegan butter

  3. Sprinkle with parsley and sea salt

  4. Bake or broil until golden and crispy

Assembly

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions

  2. Serve the sauce over the cooked spaghetti with garlic bread on the side
