Crispy Bbq Tempeh Wraps
Ingredients
- 1 package tempeh
- 6 flour tortillas
- Plant-based mayonnaise
- Sriracha sauce
- Handful of fresh cilantro
- Handful of fresh lettuce
- Oil
For the Guacamole
- 1 avocado
- 1 pickled jalapeno
- Salt, pepper
- Juice of 1/2 lime
- Oil
For the BBQ Sauce
- 4 dates
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- Juice of 1/2 lime
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard
- 1 teaspoon tomato paste
- 2 shallots
- Salt, pepper
- Oil
Preparation
Chop shallots and dates into small pieces.
Fry the chopped shallots and dates in oil.
Add the rest of the BBQ sauce ingredients and let it boil for a couple of minutes.
Puree the BBQ sauce ingredients together.
Cut the tempeh into slices and fry them in oil until crispy.
Add the BBQ sauce to the crispy tempeh slices.
Puree all the guacamole ingredients together.
Fry the tortillas without oil for a couple of minutes.
Chop the lettuce and cilantro.
Assemble the wraps by filling each tortilla with guacamole, crispy BBQ tempeh, lettuce, and cilantro.
Serve the wraps with sriracha mayonnaise.
