Crispy Fried Wontons

Ingredients

  • 1 block tofu, mashed ⠀
  • 1 can button mushrooms, chopped ⠀
  • 4 sweet chilli, chopped ⠀
  • 3 tbsp green onions, chopped ⠀
  • 1 tbsp ground ginger ⠀
  • 1 tbsp garlic flakes ⠀
  • 1 tsp white pepper⠀
  • 1 tbsp sriracha, optional ⠀
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce⠀
  • salt for seasoning - combine all the fillings ingredients in a bowl. - place the wonton wrappers on a clean cutting board and full with 2 tsp of tofu fillings - slightly wet the edges and seal it - next heat oil in a saucepan, once the oil is hot enough(test with wood chopsticks, you should see bubbles around it) fry the wonton until golden brown and transfer it to paper towels to remove the excess oil. - serve the fried wontons with chilli sauce or any of your favourite dippings.⠀

Preparation

  1. Combine all the fillings ingredients in a bowl

  2. Place the wonton wrappers on a clean cutting board and full with 2 tsp of tofu fillings - Slightly wet the edges and seal it - Next heat oil in a saucepan, once the oil is hot enough(test with wood chopsticks, you should see bubbles around it) fry the wonton until golden brown and transfer it to paper towels to remove the excess oil

  3. Serve the fried wontons with chilli sauce or any of your favourite dippings
