Homemade Wholesome Baked Beans Alternative
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 28 oz crushed tomatoes canned
- 28 oz cannellini beans canned
- 1 tbsp coconut sugar or molasses
- 1 tbsp soy sauce gluten-free variety if needed
- 1 tbsp dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 sprig rosemary leaves removed and chopped
- salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Sauté the garlic and onion in olive oil until the onion is soft.
Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a simmer.
Cook for 45 to 60 minutes to allow flavors to fully marinate.
