Japanese Chicken and Vegetable Gyoza
Ingredients
Dough
- 250g flour
- 130mL warm water
- a pinch of salt
Filling
- 1 onion
- 1 carrot
- 2cm ginger
- 1 clove garlic
- salt and pepper
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 250g ground chicken
Preparation
Mix the flour, water, and salt to form a smooth dough; knead well and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Prepare the filling by finely chopping the onion, carrot, ginger, and garlic; combine with ground chicken, soy sauce, salt, and pepper, mixing thoroughly.
Roll out the dough thinly and cut into small circles using a cutter or glass.
Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each dough circle, fold and seal the edges to form gyoza shapes.
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat, cook gyoza until golden brown on the bottom, then add a little water, cover, and steam until cooked through.
