Mini Chocolate Gugelhupf Cakes Perfect for Parties

Ingredients

  • 75 g soft butter
  • 70 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 50 g dark chocolate
  • 90 g flour
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp milk

Optional topping

  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (convection: 160 degrees).

  2. Beat butter with sugar, then gradually mix in eggs.

  3. Coarsely chop dark chocolate and melt in a double boiler. Let cool slightly.

  4. Mix flour with cocoa powder and baking powder, then add to the batter along with milk. Mix well.

  5. Add the melted chocolate and stir again.

  6. Put the batter into a large piping bag and cut the bottom about 1 cm wide.

  7. Swirl the silicone mini Gugelhupf molds with cold water and do not dry.

  8. Pipe the batter into the molds with some pressure to avoid holes.

  9. Smooth the batter with a teaspoon, if needed.

  10. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes.

  11. Let cool completely, then remove from the molds.

  12. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar.
