Simple Does Not Have to Be Boring

Ingredients

  • 1 pack of extra firm tofu
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • garlic powder to taste
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • carrots
  • zucchini or cucumber
  • micro greens
  • mango
  • brown rice
  • teriyaki sauce for tofu
  • you will need: air fryer or pan, mixing bowl

Preparation

  1. Freeze packaged tofu overnight and defrost first thing in the morning until thawed and soft again. (For great texture!)

  2. Press tofu using a tofu press or a cloth and two cutting boards to get excess water out

  3. Cut tofu into cubes and sprinkle with garlic powder, salt and pepper. Add nutritional yeast to mixing bowl and use it to coat tofu lightly in nutritional yeast

  4. Place tofu in air fryer at 350 for 25 minutes flipping them halfway

  5. If pan frying them; add 1 tbsp of oil to pan on medium heat and pan fry on each side for 7-10 minuted until golden brown. Add oil as needed throughout cooking process

  6. Coat lightly with your favorite sauce and add to a rice bowl or eat as is
