Spreadable Vegan Cheese Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour or skinless slivered almonds
  • 1 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 tsp nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 cup water or plant-based milk

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven or use toaster oven at 400°

  2. If using slivered skinless almonds instead of almond flour soak for 1 hour in hot water or overnight in room temperature water

  3. If using almond flour skip this step

  4. Add all ingredients to a food processor or blender

  5. Process/blend until smooth

  6. Add a generous spoonful of cheese to your flatbread and spread evenly

  7. Bake at 400 for 7 minutes and then let cool off and add cherry tomatoes, arugula, basil, avocado and red pepper flakes
