Vegan Air-Fried Crispy Orange Cauliflower
Ingredients
- 10-15 cauliflower florets
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour (maida)
- salt & pepper to taste
- water as required
Sauce
- 3/4 cup orange juice (blood orange used)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp red chili flakes
- 1/2 tsp ginger garlic finely chopped
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1.5 tbsp red chili paste
- 1/2 tbsp roasted sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp maple syrup (honey or sugar can also be used)
- 1 tbsp coriander stems or green onions finely chopped
Preparation
Prepare a batter by mixing flour, salt, pepper, and water until smooth
Coat the cauliflower florets evenly in the batter
Air fry the coated cauliflower until crispy and golden brown
In a separate pan, combine orange juice, soy sauce, red chili flakes, ginger garlic, vinegar, red chili paste, and maple syrup, then heat until the sauce thickens
Toss the air-fried cauliflower in the sauce until well coated
Garnish with roasted sesame seeds and chopped coriander stems or green onions before serving
