bbq tofu
Ingredients
- 6 dates
- 5tb balsamic vinegar
- Juice of 1 lime
- 2tb soy sauce
- 1ts mustard
- 3 garlic cloves
- salt, pepper
- Olive oil
- 1 small red onion
- 1ts paprika powder
- 80ml red grape juice
- Pinch of chili
- 100g sieved tomatoes
- 1 block natural tofu
- 10 wooden or metal skewers
Preparation
Chop onion, dates and garlic in small pieces • Add all to a pot with oil
Let glaze for a couple minutes
Add in the chili and paprika powder
Mix in all other ingredients
Simmer for at least 10-15 minutes
Puree until smooth
Press the water out of the tofu with a kitchen towel
Slice up the tofu in lengthwise pieces and place on the skewers
Cover with the sauce on all tofu sides
Grill in a pan or on a barbecue
