My Everyday Oat Ritual
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup rolled oats
- 2/3 cup hot water
- pinch of salt
- 1 scoop pea protein (chocolate over here)
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- 1-2 tsp honey (or coconut sugar)
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp ashwagandha (optional)
- 1/4 cup almond milk
Preparation
Add all the ingredients except for the milk to a pot over medium-high heat.
Stir frequently and add a little extra water if necessary to prevent the oats from sticking to the bottom.
Once the oats are nearly cooked, stir in the almond milk and allow to thicken again for about 1 minute.
Scoop into a bowl, add a little more milk without stirring it in, then add almond butter, walnuts and/or activated buckwheat groats, hemp seeds, and any fresh or stewed fruit (such as frozen blueberries).
