Vegan Amhieh B’laban Recipe

Ingredients

  • 200grs ada’s vegan labneh
  • 1 cup of wheat
  • 1/2 cup of chickpeas
  • dried mint

Preparation

  1. Soak the Wheat and Chickpeas in Warm water and a pinch of salt overnight to activate the Phytase and break the Phytic Acid to make the grains easier to digest and allows your body to absorb their minerals better

  2. Boil the wheat and chickpeas separately

  3. Thin Ada’s Vegan Labneh with 1 cup of cold water (add them little by little while whisking with a spoon)

  4. Add the Dried Thyme to the Thinned Labneh and mix them with the spoon

  5. Add boiled wheat and boiled chickpeas to the thinned Vegan Labneh while still mixing with a spoon

  6. Eat Directly, or put in fridge if you want them a bit colder and more refreshing

  7. Extra tips

  8. For a Gluten Free Version, you can replace the wheat with buckwheat and it would still be as delicious and refreshing

  9. You can add a clove of crushed garlic, but we omitted it from the recipe because on a hot day garlic tends to make you thirsty.
