Maple Almond Baked Tofu
Ingredients
- 400g firm tofu
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp tamari
- 1 tbsp liquid smoke
- 2 tsp almond butter
- 6 tbsp coconut water
Preparation
Squeeze any excess water out of the tofu and cut into small blocks or triangles or whatever takes your fancy
In a large ovenproof dish mix together all the other ingredients, then place the tofu pieces in the dish in a single layer. Turn them over so they are covered in the marinade on both sides and leave for an hour or two. But don't worry if you don't have time, I baked mine almost straightaway and they were amazing
Bake at 200C for about 20 mins, then turn the pieces over and bake for another 10-15 mins or until the marinade has been absorbed. And enjoy
