Easy No-Bake Spoon Cake
Ingredients
- 1 liter milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 egg yolks or 1 whole egg
Additions
- 1 packet whipped cream (cream chantilly)
- 50 grams heavy cream
- 20-25 ladyfinger biscuits
- Strawberries (optional)
Ganache
- 150 grams heavy cream
- 120 grams dark chocolate
- 50 grams white chocolate
Preparation
Mix all the ingredients for the muhallebi in a pot and cook on the stove, stirring constantly until thickened and smooth.
Remove from heat and stir until cooled to room temperature, using a stand mixer if available to speed up cooling.
Add one packet of whipped cream and mix well.
Add 50 grams of heavy cream and mix again.
Crush 20-25 ladyfinger biscuits and fold them into the mixture.
Line the sides of a container with strawberries, pour in a layer of the mixture, add more strawberries in the middle, and top with the remaining mixture.
Place in the refrigerator and chill for at least 3-4 hours, preferably overnight.
For the ganache, heat 150 grams of heavy cream until hot, remove from heat, add 120 grams of dark chocolate, and stir until fully melted.
Pour the ganache over the chilled cake.
Melt 50 grams of white chocolate using a double boiler method, pipe it onto the ganache for decoration as desired.
Tips
You can omit strawberries or substitute with other fruits.
Allow the cake to chill fully for best texture and flavor.
