Vegan Um Ali

Ingredients

  • 1 puff pastry packet
  • nuts & dried fruit raisins as desired
  • shredded coconut
  • 1 cup vegan cream ( from @reemsvegancheese )
  • 1 cup cane sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 cups milk + 2 tablespoons for pastry surface

Preparation

  1. Cut each dough sheet into 4 cubes, then brush the surface with vegan milk and sprinkle with sugar

  2. Bake it at 200 degrees for 20 minutes or until slightly browned

  3. Spread the pastry , nuts and fruits alternately in the baking mold

  4. Mix the milk, vanilla, cream and sugar and stir until it boils

  5. Pour the milk on the puff pastry and sprinkle the surface with nuts and raisins

  6. Bake at 200 degrees for 20 minutes or until the surface is browned (broiler may be turned on)

  7. Decorate the surface with rose leaves, pistachios and enjoy
