Honey Garlic Chilli Chicken

Ingredients

  • x 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • x4 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
  • 1/2 lemon
  • x4 tbsp honey
  • x1 tsp lazy garlic
  • x1 tsp lazy ginger
  • 1/2 red chilli
  • 1/2 green chilli
  • x4 tbsp salt & chilli seasoning
  • 750ml sunflower oil
  • 40g cornflour
  • 120ml water
  • sesame seeds
  • x1 tbsp chilli flakes
  • spring onion
  • 5. serve with rice and garnish with spring onion and sesame seeds

Preparation

  1. Mix the cornflour and salt and chilli seasoning with the water to make the batter

  2. Coat the chicken in the batter and fry in the HOT oil till golden brown

  3. Tip out the oil and in the wok lightly fry the ginger, chillis and garlic then add the honey, chilli flakes, chilli sauce, lemon juice and soy sauce with some water depending on how much sauce you want

  4. Once sauce is boiling tip the battered chicken in and stir through

  5. Serve with Rice and garnish with spring onion and sesame seeds
