Salted Date Caramel Breakfast Smoothie
Ingredients
- 5 medjool dates, pitted
- 1 cup plant based milk
- 2 tbsp almond or macadamia nut butter
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp pea protein or plant protein powder
- Pinch sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 cup ice
Preparation
If dates are not soft, soak them in boiling water for 5 minutes.
Place the softened dates in a blender.
Add all the other ingredients to the blender.
Blend on high until smooth and the ice is crushed, achieving a milkshake-like texture; add more liquid if needed.
Pour into 2 glasses and drink immediately.
