Sugar Cookie

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c butter
  • 1 c sugar (could also use monk fruit sweetener for a low sugar option)
  • - 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 1/2 c all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 400

  2. Mix the butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla thoroughly

  3. Stir together flour, baking powder and salt separately, then blend in with eggs, butter, sugar, and vanilla

  4. You may want to chill the dough for 1/2-1 hour to firm up

  5. Roll dough to 1/8” thick on a lightly floured board and cut out with cookie cutters

  6. Place on an ungreased baking sheet and bake for 6-8 minutes

  7. Or until a light golden color

  8. Set aside to cool before frosting/decorating
