Blood Orange & Carrot Creamsicle Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 cup steamed peeled carrots
- juice of 1/2 blood orange, or any other orange you have on hand
- 1/4 cup @thenewbarn almond milk
- 1/2 teaspoon @sunpotion tocos
- 1/2 teaspoon organic cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons of your favorite plant-based yogurt (i used @kitehillfoods)
- optional: beans from 1/2 vanilla pod (pure bliss!) extras:
- 1/2 blood orange
- extra plant-based yogurt
- coconut flaked
- shelled pistachios
Preparation
To start, put about 1/4 cup of your favorite plant-based yogurt in the base of the jar
Next, blend all your smoothie ingredients together
Add a few tablespoons of the smoothie mix in, then slide a slice of the blood orange down the side of the jar if you want to do a peekaboo like this
Hold in place while you add the rest of your smoothie
Top with coconut flakes and pistachios and enjoy
