Easy Apple Danishes

Ingredients

  • 1 package of puff pastry
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Cinnamon (from @mccormickspice)
  • Caramels (from @kraft_brand)

Preparation

  1. Thaw one sheet of frozen puff pastry.

  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into an even rectangle.

  4. Cut the puff pastry into 8 equal-sized pieces.

  5. Poke holes in the center of each piece with a fork.

  6. Brush melted butter over each piece.

  7. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over each piece.

  8. Place about 4 apple slices on each pastry rectangle.

  9. Whisk the egg with water to create an egg wash.

  10. Brush the edges of each pastry square with the egg wash.

  11. Add more cinnamon on top.

  12. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.

  13. Meanwhile, melt the caramels in the microwave.

  14. Drizzle the melted caramels over the baked danishes.

  15. Enjoy the danishes while they're still warm from the oven.
