Strawberry Shortcake Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup slivered almonds
- 1/4 cup gluten-free rolled oats
- 2 tablespoons hemp seeds (optional)
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
- 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed (optional)
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup frozen strawberries
- 1/2 cup frozen riced cauliflower
- 1 1/2 cups vanilla unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
- 1-2 cups ice cubes

Preparation
In a high speed blender, add all the ingredients except ice
Blend until smooth and creamy
Add 1 cup of ice and blend again until no ice chunks remain
For a frostier smoothie, add another cup of ice and blend again
Pour into one or two glasses depending on if this is a meal replacement or a filling snack
Serve immediately
Garnish with fresh strawberries if desired
In this smoothie i used seal the seaons' locally-sourced north carolina frozen strawberries
