Eggplant Kebab on Skewers
Ingredients
- 0.5 kg ground meat
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons bread crumbs
- 4 eggplants
Spices
- black pepper to taste
- chili powder to taste
- cumin to taste
Sauce
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1/2 cup water
- salt
Preparation
Mix the meat ingredients in a bowl and knead well.
Put the meat mixture in the refrigerator and let it rest for half an hour.
Peel the eggplants in a striped pattern and soak in salted water.
Fry the eggplants in oil on both sides.
Shape the rested meat mixture and fry them in the same pan.
Skewer the eggplants and meat alternately.
For the sauce, add oil to the pan and sauté the tomato paste.
Add water and salt to the sauce, cook for 2-3 minutes, and pour over the skewers.
Bake in a 180-degree oven until done.
Tips
Kneading the meat mixture is very important.
