Turkish Meatball and Potato Bake
Ingredients
- 1 kg ground meat
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 3 or 4 slices stale bread
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon red pepper powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 6-7 medium potatoes
Sauce
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon red pepper powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 4-5 tablespoons olive oil
- 1.5 cups hot water
Preparation
Add all the ingredients to the ground meat and knead for 2-3 minutes.
Cover with plastic wrap and let rest in the refrigerator for about an hour.
Slice the potatoes using a slicer.
Shape the meatballs and arrange them on a baking tray.
Pour the mixed sauce over them.
Bake in a 200-degree oven until golden brown.
