Baked Meatball and Vegetable Dish

Ingredients

Meatballs

  • 300g ground meat
  • 1 egg
  • 1 grated onion
  • 3 cloves grated garlic
  • 4-5 tablespoons bread crumbs
  • Salt, red pepper flakes, black pepper, cumin

Vegetables

  • 3 potatoes
  • 2 eggplants
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 2 green peppers
  • 4-5 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • Salt, black pepper, thyme, red pepper flakes

Sauce

  • 300 ml hot water
  • 1 teaspoon tomato paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper paste
  • A pinch of salt

Preparation

  1. Mix all the meatball ingredients thoroughly and let rest in the refrigerator.

  2. Mix the vegetables well and bake them in the oven at 200°C until slightly softened.

  3. While the vegetables are baking, take the meatballs from the refrigerator, shape them into rounds, and return them to the refrigerator.

  4. Once the vegetables are slightly softened, remove them from the oven and place the shaped meatballs on top.

  5. Prepare the sauce by mixing hot water, tomato paste, pepper paste, and a little salt.

  6. Pour the sauce over the dish and bake in the oven at 180-200°C until fully cooked.
