Chicory and Barley Cup

  • Basically, we boil a litre of water, add 3 Tbs of the ground mixture, keep stirring and cooking until it starts to rise (about 1 minuet); then turn off the heat, add 1/4 cup of cold water, stir and leave to sit for 5 minutes. You can add any kind of milk to it as well. It is naturally sweet but many people add honey or sugar to it. I don’t
  • There are many health benefits of chicory. It is anti-inflammatory and it contains inulin which is beneficial for the digestive system and it helps to get rid off the stubborn fat pockets. This drink is naturally caffeine free and I think it is a great alternative to having 5 cups of coffee a day which I easily could do. I personally love to have a cup of this after my dinner, when I desperately crave some dessert. It helps me with those cravings
