Hearty Vegan Spaghetti Bolognese with Garlic Bread

Ingredients

Sauce

  • onions
  • garlic
  • 2 vegan burgers
  • Italian herbs
  • oregano
  • tomato passata
  • water
  • sea salt
  • pepper
  • cornstarch slurry

Garlic bread

  • long fermentation loaf
  • vegan butter
  • fresh garlic
  • olive oil
  • parsley
  • sea salt

Preparation

  1. Sauté onions and garlic until fragrant.

  2. Fry two vegan burgers with the onions and garlic.

  3. Add Italian herbs, extra oregano, tomato passata, water, sea salt, and pepper.

  4. Stir in a cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce.

  5. Cook spaghetti according to package directions.

  6. Toss the cooked spaghetti with the prepared sauce.

Garlic bread

  1. Quickly sauté fresh garlic in a little olive oil.

  2. Spread vegan butter on slices of long fermentation loaf.

  3. Sprinkle with the sautéed garlic, parsley, and sea salt.

  4. Bake or broil until golden and crispy.
