Iced Ginger Honey Lemon Tea

Ingredients

  • 4 inches peeled and chopped ginger
  • lemon zest from 1 lemon
  • 2-3 black teabags (e.g., Trader Joe's Black Mango tea)
  • honey or other sweetener
  • juice from 1 lemon

Preparation

  1. Boil 4 inches of peeled and chopped ginger and lemon zest from 1 lemon in a large pot of water.

  2. Cover and steep for 30-45 minutes.

  3. Add 2-3 black teabags and steep for 4 more minutes.

  4. Pour the mixture through a strainer.

  5. Once it cools a bit, add sweetener (such as honey) and juice from the lemon.

  6. Enjoy the refreshing, lemony, spicy drink that is energizing and good for digestion due to ginger and lemon.
